Access Language Arts 2.0.34

The Access Language Arts app is built upon the curriculum "Teaching to Standards: English Language Arts," developed collaboratively by Attainment Company and East Tennessee State University. Empirical evidence indicates that both the app and its underlying curriculum are highly effective in fostering language arts skills among students with intellectual disabilities or autism, with a clear alignment to the Common Core Standards.

The selection of literature for read-aloud sessions within the app includes texts commonly used in middle school curricula. Adapted stories featured in the program encompass titles such as "Neighbors," "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes," "The Diary of Anne Frank," "We Beat the Streets," "The Outsiders," "Number the Stars," "Holes," and "Dragonwings."

The app incorporates elements of systematic instruction, including a constant time-delay procedure, a system of least intrusive prompts, and consistent feedback mechanisms. These features support structured teaching approaches tailored to learners' needs.
